..When you are entrusting someone to officiate a Funeral Service or Wedding Ceremony, write or tell the story of your, or a loved ones, most important life events, it's good to get to know a little bit about that person BEHIND their vocation. So here's a little bit about me, and my life 'B.C.' (Behind Celebrancy)
I am blessed to be married to 'the lovely Jay'. Our lovely daughter, our rescue dog, and Jay's cherished beaten up VW Campervan, complete our family unit.
Spring and Summer are lovely but Autumn leaves ablaze with colour, dark moody forests, crisp diamond winter snow, walks with my lovely Dad and roaring fires warm my heart.
Yorkshire Tea, decluttering, watching period dramas, Agatha Christie and STAR WARS films, cozy homes, and reading crime novels, always lift my spirits.
'STAR WARS' and 'Somewhere in Time' are my all time faves. John Barry's 'The Old Woman' from the 'Somewhere in Time' sountrack is one of the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard.
Listening to lovely Jay singing around our home when he is warming up his voice or learning new songs; if you are looking for a singer to provide 'chilled out' live acoustic music at an event do consider him - he's AMAZING - www.playjay.co.uk
Christmas! For me Christmas will never be about gifts, it's putting our tree up with photos of all the people we love who are no longer with us. It's Carols, movies, little traditions, and memories that connects me to bittersweet nostalgia.
....There have been MANY, but realising AFTER I got home from the supermarket, that I was still wearing the blue plastic shoe covers, that I had been wearing while I was watching my daughter at her swimming lesson is definitely in my top 10.
...Wasting SO much time pouring my energy into worries and physical things that took me away from the people and things that truly matter. My vocation is a constant reminder that life is fragile and our time is precious!
I LOVE a bargain (and scatter cushions). My best bargain to date is our 1904 piano, which I won on an online auction for £5.19 including FREE delivery!
"She's all 'hearts and flowers', "She talks a million miles per hour but she gives love the same way"
I have always loved Hummingbirds, not just because of their beauty, but because they represent the colour, fleetingness and enjoyment of life. Their tiny wings move in a figure of eight pattern (the ancient symbol for continuity) and they are considered to be spiritual messengers. That is why they feature on my logo
"Nothing changes if nothing changes!" . It's natural to feel bitter, angry or defeated when life is cruel. We can't change what is done, but we can certainly try to adapt our response to it.
