If you are planning a Wedding ceremony (which is very possible if you are reading this) CONGRATULATIONS on finding THE person who makes you feel like you “have it all”.
Your outward declaration and promise to love and cherish each other, throughout all the seasons of your lives, may well be the culmination of months, sometimes years of careful planning, and there is nothing more soul destroying then seeing such a pivotal moment in your lives, all the love you hold for each other, marked in a way that is 'less' than befits your lifelong commitment!
Thats where Civil Celebrant-led ceremonies are ‘game-changers’, because they afford you freedom to celebrate your day your way; giving you a 'ceremony of distinction' without restriction!
Your special day (or night) can be celebrated anywhere you want it and any time (subject to some legal or safety considerations of course!) and can include whatever resonates with you, whether that is music, readings, weaving in beautiful mini ceremonies such as handfasting, spiritual words, traditions from any religion - a blend of all of these elements or none! - it’s your choice entirely!
Creating your ceremony and officiating on your special day, is NOT about writing a generic or prescriptive service, and reading a script out to you and your guests…. it’s about drawing out all the things that are important to you and weaving that into your ceremony in a way that sets your day completely apart from the many other wonderful weddings you may yourself been lucky enough to be part of - it’s what makes your day memorable and is the reason I became a Celebrant!
What you need to do to make your Independent Civil Celebrant-led Wedding ceremony a lawfully binding 'marriage'
…You can expect a dedicated service and a uniqe ceremony, starting with an informal chat to get to know each other, giving you the opportunity to consider if I am the Celebrant for you.
Our biggest life events - by their nature - evoke so many expectations and emotions so getting to know you as individuals and as a couple, before your big day, meeting in person (or Skype call if a face to face meeting is not possible) to create a ceremony that is perfect for you, is so important, and affords us an opportunity to discuss ideas around how you would like your day to be, setting the tone and considering your ceremony ‘content’ - I can of course offer guidance and ideas that can be interpreted in your own way if you are looking for a little inspiration.
Getting this right for you will always take precedence - therefore, if you would like an additional meeting, a read-through or rehearsal, we can do that too...and of course, I am at the end of the phone, whenever you need me. Ultimately my hope and intention, is that the ceremony I create and deliver for you, reflects all that you are to each other, brings meaning into the things and the people who matter to you most, and is as individual as you are...it’s no less than you both deserve!
The investment you make in your ceremony, is often the same (or similar) price that you would pay for a registrar to come to your chosen venue, yet you get a ceremony that is completely unique and bespoke! Ultimately, you are investing in a 'ceremony of distinction'
My fees for East Sussex based Wedding ceremonies start from £550. I also work across Sussex, the UK, and overseas. For all my services, please feel free to call or email me for a personal (without obligation) quotation.
My question would be why would you NOT want a Celebrant-led Wedding service, ceremony, or blessing
as individual as you are?
